Eight Bells: Jane Anne Pincus

Jane Anne Pincus passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on November 21, 1931, she was a resident of Coconut Grove, Florida.

A Miami-Dade County school teacher for countless years, Jane Anne skippered an all-women J/24 sailing team for 15 years on Biscayne Bay. Then she became a US Sailing certified Principal Race Officer, Judge, and Race Committee Instructor.

While most sailors at Coral Reef Yacht Club called her Mom, she was widely considered Royalty.
