Squirrel finally gets the love it deserves

One of the features of the Yacht Scoring program was to not just list the crew, but to share their role on the boat. With larger teams, knowing who does what goes a long way to communicating the performance of a team. However, the program administers have other intentions.

Amid the labels of Trimmer, Tactician, Bow, and Pit are In The Way, Autopilot, Switch Flipper, Chef, Cat 3 Cooler Jockey, Foil Trimmer, Pro Bowler, Rush Chairman, Handicapper, Stunt Owner, and Leeward Runner.

To promote user engagement, YachtScoring hosted a contest to propose new crew positions for 2026, with the winning titles being iPad Kid, Squirrel, and Untangler. Sadly (not really), these new additions now remove Pro Bowler, Rush Chairman, and Stunt Owner from the option list.

I know a guy whose job on a boat is Profanity Screamer. Better luck in 2027.
