Is making it easier… better?

Most activities don’t come easy at first, and definitely not sailing. But with a certain amount of self-discipline, the connection with the sport is heightened as skills improve and confidence gained.
Technology, however, is replacing ability. The latest example is the 13-foot Airborn Foiler, a new singlehanded foiling dinghy with electric foil control which combines foiling and ease of use.
Claims the promo, “Imagine walking up to your boat, you remove the top cover, raise the sail, press the ‘ON’ button, and simply go foiling at 25+ knots in all silence: no hard efforts, no complexity, just pure speed.”
Powered by a lithium battery with a 4-hour charge, the electric system allegedly scans every wave while sensors provide stability during takeoff, flight, and maneuvers in real time for the passenger.
