Learning how to sail in college

For kids that sail at a high level, college attendance has become more about pursuing athletic achievement than an investment toward adult employment. For parents, it is easy to get sidetracked.

If becoming an Olympic or professional is the goal, college is very likely an expensive four-year delay. For everyone else, school selection can be a juggle between a student’s educational interests and aspirations, and programs with an elite sailing team.
