VIDEO: Lifting curtains on Olympic plan
Published on July 1st, 2026
As they wrap up the second year of their Olympic sailing campaign, Jordan and Grant Janov (USA) are lifting the curtains on their unique training process, and the strategy designed to produce results in the third year of the quad.
After building the boat-handling foundation, Janov Racing is now focused on learning how to make the 49er faster across every condition in what they refer to as the “Year of Speed”. That means lining up against world-class training partners, testing setup changes, studying boat feel, and learning how to keep the boat performing when the breeze, waves, and racecourse change.
This launch video introduces the next chapter of the campaign: faster training partners, sharper testing, better communication, and the daily work of turning raw speed into race-ready performance.
