Venue for Junior Pan American Games

The third edition of the Junior Pan American Games will be in 2029 and held in Rosario, Argentina. The 64th Panam Sports General Assembly made the selection over Guatemala City by a majority vote. Rosario is also preparing to serve as the primary hub for the upcoming 2026 South American Games in the Santa Fe province.

Rosario is in central Argentina, 170 miles to the north west of Buenos Aires. Sailing has been a sport in the previous two editions, though an official announcement of the sports and disciplines to be held may not be until 2028.

Held every four years, the previous event was for athletes that were at least 17 years old and not more than 22 years old in the year of the Pan American Junior Games. The sailing events in 2025 were men’s and women’s windsurfing (iQFOiL), men’s and women’s singlehanded dinghy (ILCA 6 and 7), and men’s and women’s kite (Formula Kite), though the women’s kite event was ultimately not held.
