College Season 2026-27, Week 4

The fourth week of the college sailing season was decided as much by weather as by boat speed. A nor’easter swept the eastern seaboard from Friday through Sunday morning, cancelling one day of racing at several venues and compressing others into a single scramble. Where racing did happen, it produced a Sherman Hoyt Trophy settled on a tiebreaker, a double for Virginia Tech, a double for Wisconsin, and the emphatic arrival of a team that had barely appeared on a scoreboard all fall. – Full report
