Finals stage at Vilamoura International Regatta

Vilamoura, Portugal (April 22, 2021) – The fourth day at the 2021 ILCA Vilamoura International Regatta featured the 139 Lasers and 89 Laser Radials now split into gold and silver fleets. Anne-Marie Rindom (DEN) posted a 1-12, now winning over half the races, to build a 13 point lead over the women while Michael Beckett (GBR) won the day in the men’s fleet with a 3-2 to lead with a 17 point margin. Among the top North Americans, Paige Railey (USA) slipped to 8th with an 8-34 while Charlie Buckingham (USA) climbed to 11th with a 14-7.

Vilamoura International Regatta featured  is the last European qualification event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and is planned for April 19-24.
