Showcasing the sport of sailing

Founded in 2010, the Yacht Racing Image Award returns in 2026 to celebrate the most striking and powerful images in competitive sailing. Professional photographers worldwide are invited to submit their best photograph taken between October 13, 2025 and October 12, 2026.

The 17th edition is open to professional yacht racing photographers worldwide, with the 80 best images selected by the international jury to be published online, allowing the public to vote for the Public Award. The jury will then advance the top 20 photographs to be exhibited throughout the 2026 Metstrade Show on November 17-19 in Amsterdam.

The pictures submitted must reflect the spirit of yacht racing, and may have been taken at any time – before, during, and after regattas. Photographers have until October 12 to submit their entries. The prize giving ceremony will be held following Metstrade at the 2026 Yacht Racing Forum on November 20. For contest rules, click here.

Two prizes will be awarded:
• The main prize, the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award, selected by the International Jury.
• The Public Award, based on the number of public votes cast on the Internet.

The winner of the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image award receives €1500 prize money, with second place receiving €750 prize money and third getting €250 prize money. The winner of the Public Award will receive €500 prize money.
