Complaint filed for sailing class injury

The UC Aquatic Center is run by the University of California and located along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay. Among the activity options is sailing, but the lively local conditions has led to litigation.

A UC Berkeley alumna has filed a complaint against the UC Regents, alleging that inadequate instruction and staffing during a sailing class at the UC Aquatic Center led to shoulder and leg injuries in September 2024.

Zhe Fu filed the complaint for negligence and personal injury two years after she was injured during a sailing class organized by UC Berkeley Recreation & Wellbeing. She is seeking more than $35,000 in compensation for her injury. – Full report
