11th Hour Racing sustains forestay damage

(November 11, 2013) – On the fourth day of the Transat Jacques Vabre double handed race from Le Havre to Itajai, five different boats revealed today they will make repair pit stops, which includes the Class 40 Team 11th Hour Racing which had its forestay detach from the top of the mast. The Multi 50 Arkema Region Aquitaine which capsized in Sunday night will be met by a Portuguese tug on between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The 5460 mile race had attracted 44 teams, representing 12 countries, to compete in four different classes (Class 40, Open 60, Multi50, and MOD 70).
