PHOTOS: Hazy day in Hong Kong

Published on March 3rd, 2014

The 2014 Tomes Cup on March 1 was a sedate affair in a 5 to 6 knot south easterly, with 58 boats taking to the water in pursuit of one of Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s oldest perpetual trophies, engraved as the ‘Sugar Refiners’ Cup’ and first presented in 1880. The haze is a reminder of the air quality issues in China (see Air Quality Index). Photos by RHKYC/Guy Nowell
