John Bertrand: Sporting the America’s Cup shwag

Published on March 6th, 2013

Australian John Bertrand, seen here sailing his Etchells, remains close to the America’s Cup that gave him international prominence (or at least his head remains close). Bertrand skippered Australia II to victory in the 1983 America’s Cup, ending 132 years of American supremacy. Bertrand also won the bronze medal in the Finn competition at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
