Guinness World Record Attempt Underway

Beaufort, NC (June 30, 2015) – Robert Suhay set out today in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singlehanded distance sailed in a dinghy by a male. The current record is 283.5 nm, which Suhay set in Maryland on July 2, 2014. His latest effort, sailing a 14-foot Laser, will go from Beaufort, NC to Annapolis, MD, a distance of about 340 nm that will take him around Cape Hatteras. Updates – Tracker
