Clipper fleet sets out on Atlantic Ocean crossing

Following the short sprint that began on September 2 from London, UK to Brest, France for the 12 yachts competing in the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race, the fleet set off on September 9 for the continuation of Leg 1 to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. After a stopover at Rio, the fleet will then continue on via South Africa, Australia, Singapore, China, San Francisco, Panama, Jamaica, New York, Derry Londonderry and the Netherlands before returning to London’s St Katharine Docks for Race Finish. – Race website
