Flying Scot North American Championship Kicks Off

Published on July 21st, 2014

Toms River, NJ (July 21, 2014) – The conditions for the first day of the Flying Scot NAs at Toms River YC could not have been better. Two races of the qualifying series were completed, with fairly steady winds between 8-10 mph and outstanding race management. Jeff and Amy Linton, from Davis Island YC, lead the fleet with two first-place finishes. Mark Taylor (Davis Island) and Larry Taggert (Southern YC) are in second and third place. Tomorrow a third qualifying race finishes that series, with finals beginning Wednesday. With only 31 boats at the event, competition is fierce to make the championship fleet. Current results.
