75th anniversary of the 110 class

The 2014 110 U.S. National Championship was the 75th anniversary of the class, with 15 teams coming to the birthplace of Raymond Hunt’s venerable yacht, Marblehead, MA, to compete on August 12-15. After collecting two races on the first day, excessive winds kept the fleet ashore on day two. On day three, confused seas plagued the course, but allowed for an additional three races to be run. On the fourth and final day, three teams were within reach of the title, but Joe Berkeley with crew Linda Epstein on Retread won both races to win the championship. Results.
