“Days of Thunder” Leading Team Race Champs

Sheboygan, WI (August 20, 2016) – The race for the historic George R. Hinman Trophy at the 2016 U.S. Team Racing Championship, hosted by Sail Sheboygan, is ongoing.

Team “Days of Thunder” won the Qualifying Series, with 100% winning record, 10 wins with no losses. In second was Team “BOSS”, winning 8 out of 10 races. Taking third place with seven wins and three losses, was Team “Kirkwood Ticklers”.

Stage 2A, the initial seeding series has Days of Thunder winning the Gold Round Robin. Team Trouble is winning the Silver Round Robin.

This event will qualify a team to represent the United States at the 2017 Team Racing World Championship. Pas winners of this regatta have gone on to win at the Worlds as well.
