Safety Reporting Regulation

World Sailing has recently approved the addition of Regulation 38, which requires mandatory reporting of all race-related on the water incidents. All race organizers are encouraged to bring incidents–defined as an “unexpected event resulting in death or injury to a person or an unexpected event that is hazardous in nature and has the potential to harm a person or property”–to the attention of the appropriate national authority.
