St Francis Yacht Club wins battle of California

It was Northern California versus Southern California as St. Francis Yacht Club and Newport Harbor Yacht Club faced off in challenge match race event on San Francisco Bay. Each club brought forth teams with skippers aged 20+, 40+, 60+, and a flag officer for a series of match races in J/22s. This inaugural series went to the bay area hosts, with seasoned match racers Shawn Bennet and Craig Healy doing the heavy lifting for St Francis Yacht Club. – Details
