Caribbean school wins High School Nationals

Published on May 12th, 2013

Chicago, IL (May 12, 2013) – Twenty teams competed at the High School Doublehanded Championship on Lake Michigan (May 11-12). Both days saw winds over 20 knots at times, though the wind was far from locked in with both direction and velocity varying. What didn’t vary was the unseasonably chilly temperatures (wind chill in the 30s-40s), and the domination by Antilles School of St. Thomas, VI. Ian Barrows was A skipper and Alec Tayler (team captain) was B skipper, with the winning team including Kyle Brego, Serena Cipullo, Ian Coyle, Jordan Ladd, Isabelle Teare, Agustina Barbuto, and Taylor Ladd. – Complete report/results
