Day Three of Lightning Masters, Europeans

Castiglione del Lago, Italy (June 7, 2013) – The final day of the Lightning European and International Master Championships concluded today with no racing taking place due to no wind. Americans Ched Proctor, Jamie Ewing and Jay Lurie won both the European Open and International Master Championships.

Team Proctor secured their wins with two bullets during Thursdays racing. The Chilean Team of Felipe Robles, Andreas Guevara and Pablo Lorca finished second in the European Open Championship by scoring a 2, 7 on Thursday. Tito Gonzalez, Cristian Herman and Alberto Gonzalez, Jr also from Chile finished third overall by posting a pair of 3’s on Thursday.In the International Master’s division the Canadian Team of Peter Hall, Megan Armitage and Mark Osterman finished second with 15 total points. The Brazilian Family Team of Mario Buckup, Thelma Buckup and Marc Buckup finished third with 16 total points.

These events were the warm up for the Lightning World Championship. Racing begins on Monday, June 10th.
