Battle of the Great Lakes 70s

The Great Lakes 70 Class Sheboygan Regatta was held August 9-11 out of Sail Sheboygan/Sheboygan Yacht Club in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Six Great Lakes 70’s participated in varied conditions. Friday winds were 6-18 (building during the day) with four races, all W-L twice around. Saturday was a 24 mile distance race; the score counted double. Sunday saw two more races, W-L twice around, in winds of 4-10. Kohler/Reichelsdorfer’s Evolution of Sheboygan Yacht Club edged out Lance Smotherman’s Details of Bayview Yacht Club by one point.
