Slingsby, Ashby pass on Australian America’s Cup challenge

Nearly two months after being confirmed as the Challenger of Record for the 35th America’s Cup, and Team Australia has yet to snag a high profile Australian sailor. Olympic medalist and 2010 ISAF Rolex Sailor of the Year Tom Slingsby (AUS), who was strategist for Oracle Team USA during their successful defense, had recently announced he will be staying with the American team. Olympic medalist and 14-time World Champion Glenn Ashby (AUS), wingsail trimmer for Emirates Team New Zealand’s, confirmed this week that he will be staying with the 34th America’s Cup challenger.
