College: The grind toward Nationals is on

Published on February 26th, 2014

The spring college season is underway, with Sailing World releasing their first rankings for the term. Georgetown sits atop the Coed dinghies while Dartmouth leads the Women dinghies. The grind is on toward the post-season, with the crescendo coming late May when the Womens and Coed Team Race and Dinghy Nationals are held in Maryland at St Mary’s and US Naval Academy.

The rankings are determined by an open coaches poll, with 23 coaches voting in this poll: Boston College, Bowdoin, Brown, Charleston, Coast Guard, Columbia, Cornell, Eckerd, Fordham, Georgetown, Harvard, Hobart/Wm. Smith, Jacksonville, MIT, Navy, Roger Williams, Stanford, South Florida, SUNY Maritime, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, Washington College, and Wisconsin.
