VIDEO: A race we must win

The 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race began in Alicante, Spain on Oct. 11 with the final finish on June 27 in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the start of the second offshore leg in Cape Town, SA on November 19, a flash mob of more than a dozen boats, one of which carried a South African children’s choir, demanded action on the critical energy challenges the world is facing today: climate change, energy poverty and water scarcity. The effort was led by Team Vestas Wind, one of the seven teams competing in the 6,125 nm leg from Cape Town to Abu Dhabi, UAE.
