Online retailers’ tax-free days are numbered

The era where Internet sellers are not required to collect sales tax on all sales in the same way brick-and-mortar retailers do may be coming to an end. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy recently said that the court got it wrong 23 years ago when it handed down its landmark ruling that left most Internet purchases free of sales tax.
