VIDEO: Extreme Sailing Series™ Act 3, Qingdao – Highlights

The third stop on the 2015 Extreme Sailing Series™ eight Act global tour brought together nine top international teams to on Fushan Bay, China on April 30-May 3.

After dense fog cancelled racing on day one, proceedings got underway in unpredictable light winds on the notoriously tricky Qingdao race track. SAP Extreme Sailing Team dominated day two and three, but would the Danish team be able to hold their nerve under pressure going into the final double points race with the chasing pack closing in?

Despite a late charge from pre-event favourites The Wave, Muscat, SAP Extreme Sailing Team held on and triumphantly took their first ever Act win. The Wave, Muscat in second, while Gazprom Team Russia took an impressive third place, their first podium finish in the Series.
