Melges and Porter win Melges 17 US National Championship 2015

Macatawa Bay, MI (May 31, 2015) – Twenty-three teams competed in the 2015 Melges 17 US National Championship (May 29-31), with Harry Melges IV and team mate Vincent Porter taking the title. With only four races completed, Melges IV came from behind to take the top overall position.

Melges finished 3 points ahead of early event leader Rob Terry on Thrillseeker who tied with Sean Fidler on Ludicrous Speed but won on count back for second place.

Racing was limited to two on Friday, two on Saturday amidst some rain, fog and light breezes, and no racing on Sunday.
