One Design racing on Long Island Sound

The 2015 Cedar Point One Design Regatta, which features two weekend events on Long Island Sound, hosted racing for 68 teams competing in six one design fleets. The first part of the regatta on May 16-17 experienced a light-wind series for 24 boats in the J/70 and Lightning classes. On May 30-31, 39 boats in the J/109, J/105, Beneteau First 36.7 and Soverel 33 classes sailed four races on Saturday afternoon in southerly winds that built from 5 to 14 knots; fickle winds and an approaching storm precluded racing on Sunday.
