Hess and Abascal continue to lead Hobie 16 North Americans

Pensacola, FL (September 23, 2015) – Racing continued on Pensacola Bay for the third day of the Hobie 16 North American championships. Light wind theme continued today for the third day of racing with winds of 6-12 knots. Three races were completed. The racing was close throughout the day with the fleet sailing in tight groups.

After three days of racing the fleet was cut into gold and silver for the final two days of the competition. The top 37 teams advanced to the gold fleet. After eight races, Jason Hess/Irene Abascal (GUA), lead followed by Francisco Figueroa/Jolliam Berrios (PUR) and Mark Modderman/Grace Modderman (USA). Racing continues through Friday. Event website
