Catch a glimpse into the evolution of Wild Oats XI as she is prepared to take on all challengers in her 11th tilt at the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

Bob Oatley’s 30m supermaxi Wild Oats XI had cut off a 10-metre section of the bow and a 2-metre section off the stern, with new shaped sections added back to return the boat to again measure 30 metres overall, which is the maximum length allowable for yachts contesting the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race starting December 26.

This video shows the McConaghy Boats team fairing the newly shaped hull. Wild Oats is set to be launched on Thursday, December 3.
