Sydney Hobart: Chinese entry Ark323 out of the race, Comanche storming

One of the two Chinese entries in the race, Ark323, is out of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race after being involved in a collision in the harbour. All on board are safe and the yacht is returning to the CYCA, having officially retired from the race.
Perpetual Loyal led Comanche and Wild Oats XI to the turning mark off South Head but Comanche then took off to take the lead as they began the run down the NSW coast.
The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race starts on Boxing Day, December 26, at 1pm AEDT and will be broadcast live on the Seven Network throughout Australia webcast live to an Australian audience on Yahoo!7 and the official race website www.rolexsydneyhobart.com and also streamed via mobile. Due to unforeseen circumstances international viewers will not have access to this service, but can follow the race via the yacht tracker on the office race website.
