Russ Lucas wins Melges 20 US Nationals

Eleven teams competed in the 2016 Melges 20 U.S. National Championship, held April 15-17 in Charleston, SC. Russ Lucas and Daniel Theilman finished tied, with Lucas taking the title on countback to become the Class’s eighth U.S. National Champion. Canada’s Justin Quigg with his team of Julian Plante and Nick Cleary finished third overall and won the Corinthian U.S. National title.
