Qualifiers Complete for High School Doublehanded Championship

High School Sailing (Interscholastic Sailing Association – ISSA) kicks off the spring Championship season with the Mallory Championship, to be held in Charleston, SC on May 14-15. The Mallory Trophy, dedicated in 1930, will determine the best of fleet racing among the 7 Districts represented by 20 schools across the USA.

The best High School sailors will descend upon the College of Charleston with the racing in CFJs and Z420s to be held in the Charleston Harbor out of the Stewart Walker Sailing Center.

The following schools have won their District qualifiers to represent their respective Districts at the National Championship:

Northwest (2): North Kitsap HS (Poulsbo, WA), Bainbridge HS (Bainbridge Island, WA)
Pacific Coast (4): Point Loma HS (San Diego, CA); Newport Harbor HS (Newport Beach, CA); Corona del Mar HS (Newport Beach, CA); Santa Barbara HS (Santa Barbara, CA)
New England (4): Tabor Academy (Marion, MA); Brunswick School (Greenwich, CT); St. George’s School (Middletown, RI); Milton Academy (Milton, MA)
Mid Atlantic (4): Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA); Mamaroneck HS (Mamaroneck, NY); Rye Country Day (Rye, NY); Key School (Annapolis, VA)
South Atlantic (3): Shorecrest Preparatory School (St Petersburg, FL); Ransom Everglades (Miami, Fl); Wando HS (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
Midwest (2): Lake Forest High School (Lake Forest, IL); Latin School of Chicago (Chicago, IL)
Southeast (1): Clear Falls High School (League City, TX)
