The 2016 49er & 49erFX North American Championship was held August 26-28 in Newport, RI. Topping the 14-boat 49er Men fleet was Carlos Robles and Trevor Burd, winning the 11-race series by 11 points over Judge Ryan and Hans Henken. In the five boat 49erFX Women fleet, Arielle Morgan and Heather Myatt won by nine points over Alexandra ten Hove and Mariah Millen. Results.
