Collantes extends lead at Sunfish Worlds

Brant Beach, NJ (August 31, 2017) – It was a full day at the Sunfish World Championship with four races completed on the fourth day of the event. Winds ranged from 5-7 mph for the first three races, increasing to 11-13 mph for the fourth.

Event leader Alonso Collantes of Peru dominated the day, winning all four races to extend his lead to 27 points over Eugene Schmitt of the USA.

Racing for 54 competitors representing 10 countries is planned for August 28 to September 1, with two more races planned for tomorrow.
