Summer Weather for CORK Fall Regatta

Kingston, ONT (September 24, 2017) – Two hundred and forty athletes, four countries and several provinces competed at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, racing the CORK Fall Regatta, September 23-24, 2017.
The first day of the fall regatta felt more like July than September. Races were delayed in starting due to very light wind. When the wind came it was champagne conditions with 8-12 knots throughout the afternoon. The Optimist, C 420, Laser and Radial fleets completed 3 races as scheduled. The i420’s completed 4 races, the 49er FX and the 29ers completed 5 races.
The second day of the CORK Fall regatta and Ontario Championships continued to feel more like July, hot and humid. The C 420, Laser and Radial fleets completed 3 races, the 49er FX and the 29ers completed 5 races as scheduled. The i420’s and Optimists completed 2 races.
