Winter relief, Florida style

Fort Lauderdale, FL (January 10, 2018) – Thirty-one teams started in the 42nd Annual Fort Lauderdale to Key West Race, hosted by Lauderdale Yacht Club and Storm Trysail Club. Warrior, the Volvo 70 owned by Steve & Stephen Murray Sr. & Jr., was leading the field down the 160nm southerly sprint to Key West.

The Fort Lauderdale to Key West Race is the third leg of the four race SORC Islands in the Stream Series, which concludes in Havana in February.

In the absence of Key West Race Week, the Conch Grinder Race has returned on January 13 which offers a chance for boats to get out on the bright waters of Key West before heading home to the cold.
