Details for Youth Match Racing Worlds

The 2018 Youth Match Racing World Championship will be held July 3-8 on Lake Ledro in Trentino, Italy. The fifth edition will feature eight J22 class boats and sailors competing will have to be under 23 years old on December 31, 2018.

Boy’s crew will have three sailors, including the skipper, while mixed crews as well as Girl’s crew will be four per boat.

The Youth Match Racing World Championship brings together the best youth match racers from around the world acknowledging their skills and offering a pathway to adult match racing competition.

Joakim Aschenbrenner (DEN) claimed the inaugural title in 2014, followed by Sam Gilmour (AUS) in 2015 and Will Dargaville (AUS) in 2016. Harry Price (AUS) won the 2017 edition held July 30-August 5 in Newport Beach, CA.
