2018 Laser Midwinters East

The 2018 Laser Midwinters East attracted 147 competitors for the 10-race series on February 22-25 in Clearwater, FL. After 2017 Laser Radial Youth World Champion Charlotte Rose (USA) won the qualifying series in the 93-boat Radial fleet, 2016 Olympian Paige Railey (USA) won all four races in the Gold Finals to top the teenager by 13 points. 2016 Olympian Stefano Peschiera (PER) nipped Chris Barnard (USA) by a point in the 42-boat Full Rig fleet while Guthrie Braun (USA) took the 12-boat 4.7 Rig title.
