Breeze on but no record at Fort 2 Battery

The 2018 Fort 2 Battery, a 3.8 mile drag race from Fort Sumter to the Battery in Charleston Harbor (SC), attracted nearly 100 registered on April 21 for wind conditions around 25 knots with puffs in the 30s and pretty heavy chop. Open to all forms of boats under 20-feet, with racers coming from as far as Toronto (Ont), the elapsed winner was kite foiler Jason D’Agostino (Sarasota, FL) with a near record time of 6:31 minutes.
