42nd Oregon Offshore Completed

Portland, OR (May 13, 2018) – The 42nd annual Oregon Offshore International Yacht Race was held this past weekend. The race started on May 10, 2018. The starting line is off the mouth of the Columbia River, yachts preceded north to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and finished at Victoria, British Columbia, inside the harbor entrance. The course distance is 193 miles; twenty-two boats entered the race while fourteen boats finished.

The first to finish was David Raney’s Wiley 70, Rage, who completed the course in 32h 13m 25s.

PHRF A1 (7 finishers) Ged McLean’s Hana Mari (Wylie 43)
PHRF A2 (1 finisher) Doug Pihlaja’s Abstract (J/105)
PHRF B (4 finishers) Joby Easton’s Rain Drop (Cascade 36) – First Overall with corrected time of 31:46:21
PHRF C (2 finishers) Theo Singelis’s Taku (J/30)
