VIDEO: When the bridge wins

It began as a typical evening of weeknight racing on Lake Superior outside of Duluth, MN. The passage through the Aerial Lift Bridge was uneventful, just as the boats entered the big lake, the temperatures dropped from 80° F to 48° F in 20 minutes, and winds turned from pleasant to over 30 knots. Ten minutes later we witness this boat getting swept into the bridge, with the bridge winning. As usual, if you are to have a bad sailing moment, do it away from cameras.
