Ugotta Regatta 2018
Published on July 29th, 2018
The 58th Annual Ugotta Regatta was held July 27-29 on beautiful Little Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan. Ninety-two teams competed in 10 classes and 3 circles from boats from R/P 86 Windquest down to J/70s along with the J/105 North American Championship.
“This year we had 4 days of steady wind. Mother Nature gave us the various conditions which are true to sailing” said Jack Carruthers, Regatta Director and Vice-Commodore of LTYC.
“The boats came from all over the US and Canada.” added Debi Schoenherr, LTYC Commodore, noting the event has a 100-boat limit with a waiting list starting in April.
