S2 7.9 Class Championship

Twenty-six teams gathered for the 2018 S2 7.9 Class Championship on September 7 to 9 in Grosse Ile Township, MI. Tyson Connolly’s team on Fun Uncle stumbled with an 8th in the first race, but cleaned it up the rest of the way to take the five point victory. Only one point separated the next three teams with Scott Derby in second and Cary Diehl claiming third. Strong winds on Lake Erie allowed for racing on the first two days but gusts over 30 knots cancelled racing on day three. Details.
