Tuning up for Lightning Worlds

In advance of the 2019 Lightning World Championship (June 14-17), 48 teams competed in the 2019 Lightning Masters World and Open European Championships (June 10-12) in Espoo, Finland. Taking the European title was defending world champ Javier Conte (Argentina) and his team of Ignacio Giammona and Paula Salerno, while Ched Proctor (USA) along with teammates Bill Faude and Meredith Killion claimed the Master title for skippers age 55 or over and a combined crew age of 130 years.
