First stage of Bermuda One-Two Race

Twenty-eight singlehanded boats began the opening stage of the 2019 Bermuda One-Two Race, starting June 8 on the 635nm course to Bermuda from Newport, RI. After eight boats dropped out, Michael Hennessey’s Class40 Dragon took elapsed time honors and won Class 5 against four other Class40s. The start of the final stage doublehanded leg on June 20 will return the fleet to Newport, RI. Details.
