Iain Murray leads Etchells Worlds

Published on June 25th, 2019

Corpus Christi, TX (June 25, 2019) – The first day of the 2019 CITGO Etchells World Championship completed two races with overcast skies and classic Corpus Christi Bay chop. After a postponement ashore to allow the wind direction to settle, it picked up to the mid-teens before dying down for the finish of the final race. 1984 World Champ Iain Murray (AUS) dominated the day with a 2-1 but the 37-boat fleet remains tight with the first five boats all posting top ten scores.

Nine races are scheduled from June 25 to 29.
