Final race to decide Etchells World title

Published on June 28th, 2019

Corpus Christi, TX (June 28, 2019) – Lighter winds on the penultimate day at the 2019 Etchells Worlds completed two more races in 8-10 knots, building to 12-14 knots from ESE. Leader Iain Murray (AUS) hopes of confirming the title today were dashed by Graeme Taylor (AUS) who has won the past four races. With a discard now and only one race tomorrow, the spotlight will be on these two teams separated by 5 points as 2017 World Champ Steve Benjamin (USA) is 25 points off the lead in third.

Nine races are scheduled from June 25 to 29, with a discard allowed after the seventh race.
